The story
Built because one church needed a better way.
SimpleSteward started with a practical need. Our church needed a financial system that did not cost a large amount every month, did not force volunteers into complex accounting software, and worked the way church finance actually works.
Many churches are still powered by faithful people using paper records, handwritten reports, checkbooks, and spreadsheets. SimpleSteward was built for them.
That became the design standard. A 92-year-old church bookkeeper who had never used a computer for finance should be able to transition from manual records to clear online workflows with confidence.
